The chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Isu LGA who is also the secretary of the forum of APGA LGA chairmen in Imo state. Chief Emeka Anoruo has stated the preparedness of APGA in the state to sweep the polls in next year’s general elections, stressing that the APGA LGA chairmen in Orlu Zone are intact, inseparable, working closely with their brothers in Owerri and Okigwe zones to achieve the common goal of victory for APGA in 2019 elections.
Chief Emeka Anoruo made this known last Saturday in Owerri during an interaction with our reporter on the state of the party in Orlu Zone.
Chief Anoruo also disclosed that the loyalty of Orlu /one APGA LGA chairmen to the state chairman, Sir Peter Ezeobi and the harmonious working relationship between the state working committee of the party and LGA and ward chairmen has made it easier for APGA to become more deeply rooted at the grassroots. The APGA leader reiterated the commitment of the leadership of the party to organize a free and fair primary election that would be acceptable to all and further strengthen the party.
He called on aspirants at all levels to be diligent and go about their preparation for the forth coming primary election with a sense of maturity and integrity that APGA is known for and not see an election as a do or die affair since in any election only one would emerge out of the many contestants Chief Anoruo added that Imolites were seriously believing God to give them an APGA governor next year so that they would enjoy a good standard of life like their counterparts in Anambra state.
He called on APGA members and Imolites in general to continue to keep faith with APGA, assuring that their votes would count this time around as God had seen their tears and groaning under the yoke of bad governance by the APC and PDP before now.
However, he challenged every party member and others to endeavour to obtain their PVCs which is their power to vote in APGA for the good of everyone.
