Leading governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. Okey Eze was on Monday in Isu LGA accorded a rousing reception as he and his campaign team stormed the local government for what they described as a visit, to encourage their coordinators and acquaint themselves with their overall well being.
Speaking at a meeting with his coordinators, Mr. Okey Eze said that he was motivated by the desire to “reposition the state, create a future for the children and jobs for the teeming unemployed graduates and congratulated the coordinators for queuing into that philosophy of a better tomorrow.
The governorship hopeful issued certificates of recognition to his coordinators in Isu LGA of which he assured them would guarantee them access to him at the government house after the electoral victory next year, promising he would never forget them.
Earlier in his -address, the coordinator of Okey Eze foundation in Isu LGA, Chief Jerry Ohaegbulam (Odunze) assured Mr. Okey Eze that ISU LGA was going to give him 120% in the forth coming delegate election as the entire Isu would soon be for APGA and for Mr. Okey Eze.
Chief Ohaegbulam informed that Mr. Okey Eze was a grassroots man who had labored for APGA and had remained even when others had abandoned the party following the unfortunate governorship election loss of 2015.
He called on all Isu APGA members to continue to keep faith with Okey Eze, just as he urged all Imolites to rally behind the leading APGA gubernatorial aspirant for a better Imo for all people.
At the APGA LGA office in Ekwe, a leader of the Okey Eze campaign Team, Hon. Gozie Nwachukwu described Imo state as not having a House of Assembly but rather a collection of House boys whose masters had already bargained their lukewarmness in the House.
While addressing, leaders and members of APGA, Mr. Okey Eze appreciated the Isu LGA chairman, Chief Emeka Anoruo for his wisdom in making the party very strong in Isu EGA, promising that his campaign structure would have good and harmonious relationship with the party structure everywhere and at all levels.
He urged them to consider, for the governorship candidate of the party, one that had been steady, committed and believing in the party.
A member of the -national- leadership of APGA, Barr. (Mrs) Lizzy Nwokocha who was present said that she was there to ascertain the state of APGA in Isu LGA.
She urged Imolites to -ensure a man of immense capacity in the caliber of Chief Willy Obiano emerged as APGA governorship candidate and subsequently state governor.
Mrs. Nwokocha said that APGA of today had been refined with God fearing leaders like Dr. Victor Oye and Sir Peter Ezeobi as national chairman and Imo state chairman respectively who have promised level playing Held for all aspirants.
She encouraged them to do the right thing today so as not to regret later.
