A front runner for the governorship ticket of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Imo state, Sir Bruno Chidiebere Oparaocha has advised politicians in the country to play the game according to the rules so that they will not derail the country’s democracy.
Sir Bruno who was speaking in a chat with the press recently said politics is not a do or die affair and should be played with the spirit of sportsmanship.
Sir Bruno while condemning politicians who introduce violence into the game of politics argued that such people have not come to serve the interest of the masses but have come to meet their own selfish needs and that of their families. Reacting on the Ward Congress of the ruling All Progressives Congress which was last Saturday held across the country which was marred with irregularities, sir Bruno Chidiebere Oparacha, a Knight of the catholic church expressed shock that the ruling party in Nigeria could not conduct a free, fair and rancourless intra-party exercise like a party congress.
He assured that come 2019, when he emerges as the governor of Imo State, he with other real progressives will provide good leadership to Nigerians both at the state and National levels.
Sir Oparaocha described the SDP as a party with the most credible, tested and trusted leaders starting with National Chairman, Chief Olu Falac and in the states adding that SDP will promote internal democracy.
Sir Bruno repeated his earlier call on all Imo citizens and Nigerians of voting age to endeavour to get their PVC’s to vote out bad governance.
