Interestingly Prof. Victoria Adaobi Obasi’s daily routine begins with God and ends with God. She has an ingrained belief that a prayerful Christian is a powerful – Christian. Prof. Adaobi Obasi does not^ compromise her praying routine which she tenaciously observes like
clockwork. She worships and serves EloHim that is God of sovereignty, righteousness, justice, eternal life, immutability and veracity. The God who created the entire universe out of nothing (EX NIHILO) and God without a beginning.
Stephen Grellet said, “I shall pass through this world but once, if, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do, let me do it now: let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again”. Proverbs 31:30-31 states “charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her of the fruits of her hands and let her works praise her in the gates.
The above quotation succinctly captures the essence and nature of Prof. (Mrs) Victoria Adaobi Obasi whose golden deeds are predicated on spreading love everywhere because God is love. (Vade mecum).
She is a praying Christian and an intellectual giant who conscientiously puts God first in whatever she does and in the administration of her institution. She fervently prays, works hard and watches. Prof. Adaobi Obasi earnestly goes to God on her knees to bless her-works, family, staff, management, students, Imo State Government and everybody and believes with assiduity and tenacity in the divinity and faithfulness of God.
She does not lean on the reed that bends with the wind, and does not trust it, since all mortal things are like grass and all their glory like the bloom of grass that falls. According to her if you look for Jesus Christ in everything, it will be Jesus that you find. When Jesus is with you, all is well and nothing seems difficult, otherwise everything is intractable. It is a blessed moment when Jesus calls us from tears to the joy of the spirit. “She posits”, what can the world give you without Jesus? But to be with Christ is sweet paradise.
Prof. Victoria Adaobi Obasi, radiant, vivacious, and ebullient explained that it is a great art to know how to keep company with Jesus, and great wisdom to know how to hold him. “At the time of depression or despair, wait calmly for the will of God for after winter comes summer, after night comes day, after the storm great calm”.
She always emulates the examples of Jesus Christ by showing love to mankind irrespective of where he or she comes from. So also takes care of the less privileged, the poor, children, the sick, the aged and brings them succor.
A woman whose personality is shrouded with splendid enigma, radiating the glorious rays of early morning sun and warming every heart that comes in contact with her.
A moral and social crusader, who cannot be pigeon-holed, stereotyped or programmed into narrow confines. Her only prime driver is unconditional love as exemplified by our Master servant Jesus Christ who laid down his life for his followers and resurrected. She proclaims Christ with epiclesis, and with no iota of intrepidity.
What is uppermost to her really is how well she serves the supreme God who pre existed creation of any type as well as others. The story of Prof. Victoria Adaobi Obasi is that of abundance of the grace of Almighty God whose unfailing love, grace and mercy have been all sufficient in her life.
It is simply a true story of how the invisible hands of the sovereign majesty and his guardian angels have been watching and guarding her all the way. Her life on earth is unmistakably a manifestation of God’s unfailing love.
A highly devoted and unrepentant soldier of Christ who in her private and public utterances and conduct remains a desirable personality, and is made so by her uncommon simplicity, credibility and impeccable integrity. An embodiment of moral rectitude and repository of knowledge and a woman of destiny. She believes that God is with Imo state and our people; so much so that a people that share the vision of greatness will inevitably be great, “No obstacles will be too intricate for us to surmount because we are the lord’s anointed, chosen and more than conquerors – especially those that put their trust in His precious name” 1 Pet. 2:9.
In Prof. Victoria Adaobi Obasi, therefore, we see a replication of agape love as taught by Jesus Christ. Her charitable works are boundless and borderless. That is why Prof. Victoria’ Adaobi Obasi’s charity resonates well among multitude. A voracious reader, regardless of the voluminousity and copiousity of the scripture with unbiased mind. Indeed, in a pleasant personality and beautiful soul, faith, charity, empathy and benevolence to the scorned and neglected of the earth, found a saintly earthly ambassador. Prof. Victoria Adaobi Obasi is a phenomenal born debonair, whose sterling qualities are exceptional. A cerebral professor who grew steadily through hard work, discipline, prudence, fear of the Almighty God, honesty, impeccable integrity, a bastion of hope, courage and an epitome of humility. All her services are primed towards, the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and People that have become a burden to the society.
Life is barren without love. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. This shows the centrality of love to humanity.
