Imo State Gov Owelle Rochas Okorocha has let out his fears about the unknown in his relationship with his son in law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu saying he is praying he doesn’t betray him in the future.
Gov Okorocha who bared his mind in Owerri during a recent media parley with journalists in the state revealed that his fears stemmed from what is going on between him and some of his erstwhile close confidants.
According to him he never believed that some of his aides and officials like the deputy governor Prince Eze Madumere could ever rise against him in life pointing out such Occurances are making him pray against betrayal from Ugwumba Nwosu.
In his words :”I never believed Madumere in life will ever stand up against me. He was appointed as a deputy governor he was not elected. I have already told Uche Nwosu, please don’t betray me like others ” the governor quipped.
The governor who lashed out at critics of his support for Ugwumba Nwosu guber ambition described such opponents as clannish and and stupid.
The governor posited that there is no law against an in law contesting election stressing that Ugwumba Nwosu is eminently qualified and has no criminal record even as he wondered why his support for him was much ripples.
Gov Okorocha told Imo people to support quality candidates like Nwosu because he merited it as he had earlier weighed his deputy, ex Secretary to Imo State Government, Sir Jude Ejiogu and Hon Chike Okafor before settling for his Chief of Staff CoS.
