Youths of Ngor Okpala LGA, operating under the ageis of Onyeaghalanwanneya Youth Movement OYM, Imo Airport Landlord Youths have cried to Gov Rochas Okorocha over the destabilizing activities of Okenze Sylvester Obinna, a chieftain of APC in the LGA, in the affairs of the body.
The youths who called the attention of the governor to their problems in an open letter signed by their president Alvan Ahaotu Opara and Secretary Stephen made it categorically clear that the man has planted a seed of hatred and crisis in the area which only the governor’s intervention can arrest.
Narrating their story the OYM said the crisis started last year following the ouster of the executive loyal to Okenze Obinna, who curiously is not from their clan.
They alleged that he has been funding the ousted group and doing everything no matter how unclean
to support them because they do all manner of atrocities for him.
They gave example with the recent award which the ousted executive gave the governor during the commissioning of Okenze Obinna’s factory in his village wondering why he( Obinna) abandoned youths of his community and invited those from another community to come and give Gov Okorocha award.
The youth body said it is only a man desperate to cover his alleged dirty tracks that could indulge in such strange behaviour to please those he is indebted to, to avoid reprisals.
Stressing that they were afraid that violence was in the offing. OYM added that it’s fear stems from the fact that such scenario in 2014 led to killings.
To forstall any unpleasant experience however, the youths called on Gov Okorocha to stand up now and call Okenze Obinna to order, before it is very late.
