The entire true citizens of the Owerri Federal Constituency have vowed never to support Chief Uche Nwosu guber bid since he is non indigene of their constituency even as they noted that his so called endorsement by a village in the area created by the Rescue Mission government led by Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha was intentionally done in order to politically rob them their mandate.
According to Hon. Teddy Ukaegbu a spokesperson of the Real Citizens Association of Owerri in a press chat with media men at Owerri, the problem of the adoption of Chief Nwosu is a ploy to denied us our mandate come 2019 governorship election in the state. We are aware that there is no way the good people of Owerri Federal Constituency would have adopted Chief Nwosu as our bonafide son and also at the same time our governorship candidate when we have bountiful of highly resourceful and very illustrious indigenes who will impact greatly in the socio-economic and political development of our great Imo State.
He stated that Owerri senatorial Zone has not exhausted their manpower not to think of using an extraneous manpower to achieve their purpose in the state, added that it will be very wrong of doing things and very undemocratic, since they still have the best brains, captain of industries and the technocrats to industrialise the state.
In another development, one prominent leader in the zone, Chief Mark Okere has advised Imolites to be very careful and caution over the money politics played in the state which have destroyed the system.
Chief Okere said Owerri zone will resist every temptations coming from the 2019 guber election especially as regards to the unfortunate endorsement saga in the state with Chief Nwosu and the incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha have planned to use them.
He stressed that the number one position of the state will not be comprised at any quarters no matter whose ox is gored, stating they will tactically and diplomatically march power to power, and strength to strength until they achieve and actualize their dream in the forthcoming guber election in the state.
