Chief Philip Ibekwe has joined a dozen of other aspirants to declare for Imo governorship for the 2019 general elections on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.
Chief Ibekwe who hails from Ahiazu Mbaise Local government area said his decision to throw his hat into the ring for 2019 Imo governorship was inspired by the need correct alleged anomalies inflicted on Imo people by the APC government.
Chief Ibekwe vowed to sanitize the education sector and diversify the economy of the state for improved production and job creation. He said the Imo was grossly lagging behind in the area of industrialization noting that he would leverage the rich APGA manifesto which according to him, is anchored on people oriented policies and programmes.
He assured that his administration if elected, would bring back smiles on the faces of Imolites by being sensitive to their needs, plights and aspirations, and by so-doing, make Imo come alive again.
