Imo-born House of Representatives member for Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Hon. Tony Chinedu Nwulu says Imo people should pray and believe that God should give them a quality and responsible leader as governor rather than depending on zoning and political camping.
Hon. Nwulu stated this Friday while briefing newsmen on his governorship ambition come 2019. He said the problem with Nigeria has always been too much politicking without good governance, noting that what matters most is to be proactive in solving people’s problems.
Nwulu disclosed that it was his sincerity that gave him a seat at the House of Representatives in Lagos State, stressing that he has no godfather in politics. He said Imo people should stay away from political camping or zoning as according to him, political camps in Imo are self serving.
While making a case for the younger generation to take over, the federal lawmaker pledged to establish development commission for easy development of Imo State, as well as tackle unemployment via industrialization policy.
Continuing, Nwulu assured that the three zones in Imo State will have research facilities in the areas of ICT software development, engineering and biochemical/medical researches, while according to him, 11 important bills have already been articulated and is expected to drive Imo socio-economic and political development when passed.
Other areas of interest according to Hon. Nwulu include commissioning of roads based on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT), e-governance, tourism, provision of water, education, power, health, among others.
