Basking in the euphoria of its successful conduct of free, fair and credible national convention, Imo State Chapter of the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party, ANRP, has boasted that the party is poised to take over the reins of power in the state and return Imo to the people.
The state chairman of the party, Mr. Chibuike Oziri Nwachukwu, who made the declaration at the sidelines of the party’s national convention which took place at the Eagle Square in Abuja during the weekend, maintained that the time to return Imo to the dreams and aspirations of its founding fathers is now.
He stressed that ANRP is ready to return power to the younger generation, whom according to him, are better positioned to drive the country’s economy in line with the global trends.
“If you look round the wonderful economies of some emerging countries of the world today, you’ll discover that the young generation has been tipped as critical component of any society desirous of progress in line with the trends associated with globalization.”
“At ANRP, we have streamlined an effective and efficient framework that would enhance the political participation and success of our youths who make up the greater part of our country’s population”.
“To show you how ready we are, this is the only party in the country that had concluded its elective convention and returned its executive members. Check out other parties registered together with ANRP, they are still moving with their caretaker committee members.”
Mr. Nwachukwu, who lamented the age long neglect against the youths in the country, pointed out that ANRP was poised to write the wrongs of the past and give the youths their rightful place in governance.
The Ogwuama Ahiara born youthful chairman also promised that the state chapter of the party under his leadership would do everything possible to guarantee a level playing field for all political aspirants wishing to fly the flag of the party in 2019 general elections.
While calling on the people of the state, especially the youths to see ANRP as a veritable platform that would create the needed political space for them, the state party chairman further added that the party would focus on capacity building for the youths, job creation, infrastructural development and ensure the attraction of foreign direct investment, while instituting a technical framework to guarantee ease of doing business in the state.
He however warned that the youths would have themselves to be blamed in the future if they fail to come together and rise to the challenge of ensuring the creation of a better tomorrow for themselves and their children.
