…As victim petitions Imo CP

Apparently shocked at the alleged matchete attack on him by three persons, two of whom are believed to be the children of His Royal Highness, Eze Ijeoma of Ezi-Orsu Autonomous Community in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, an indigene of the community, Pastor Chinonso Deruo has petitioned the Commissioner of Police, Imo State over what he alleged as “Serious case of Assault occasioning Harm/Attempted Murder” against him by three persons including two children of the said Ezi-Orsu traditional ruler.

Pastor Deruo in his petition to the state police commissioner, a copy which was made available to Nigeria Newspoint, shed tears that the attackers whom he named as Maduka Ijeoma, Victor Ijeoma and one Ozioma attacked him with matchete on Tuesday December 18, 2018, around 7:49pm, while he was in his house conducting night prayer with his family members.

He alleged that the said persons “came in silently and melted serious injury on him with deep cut that affected his bone”. He further accused them of either out to cut off his hand or to kill him.

Pastor Deruo further alleged: “this group of persons were known for violence and cultism with the support of their sponsor who happens to be the traditional ruler of my community and had a long existing land dispute with my family members before he became a traditional ruler”.

The Pastor therefore urged the Imo State Police Commissioner to use his good offices to get the matter investigated and bring the culprits to book.

It will be recalled that there have been reported allegations of cases of attacks on some indigenes of Ezi-Orsu in which some of the traditional rulers family members have been allegedly implicated.
